Sarah Hunter: people specialist
Some people describe themselves as a ‘people person,’ but for me it goes much deeper than that. I’m fascinated by the individual strengths and potential we all carry, and my passion lies in helping you tap into your strengths so you can create success that truly excites you.
For over a decade I’ve had the privilege of coaching multi million dollar companies, multinational teams, and diverse leaders around the world, helping them redefine their approach to work, leadership and life. I start by asking them the question I’ll ask you: Are you living a life you’re truly proud of? If you are, what do you love about it, and where would you like to see it go from here? If not, what would you like your life to become?

In conversation with Sarah
What makes you excited to get up in the morning and do this work?
Watching people achieve their dreams is intoxicating. Whether those dreams are big, small, or in between, watching people accomplish something they thought they couldn’t, and cheering them on, is the biggest privilege ever.
What do you find most rewarding about your work with clients?
Knowing I’ve made a meaningful difference and from that moment on they will think, act and behave differently. I love line-in-the-sand moments when they can say “yesterday I led like this, but now I lead like this”.
Was there an ‘aha’ moment when you realised this was the work you wanted to do?
I remember sitting in a lecture and hearing about the topic of coaching. Having no idea what it was, I was skeptical and intrigued. After one session I knew it was what I was going to do with the rest of my life. Pulling people forward into their best self is the coolest thing.
Why do you use the CliftonStrengths approach?
I love that it starts with what’s right with you! A strengths-based approach allows a person to see themselves at their best, appreciating the value they bring simply by being who they are. From the first moment we engage with someone, we’re focused on their best self. I also love that the chance of someone having your top five strengths in the same order is 1 in 33 million! This tool speaks directly to the uniqueness of every human and the greatness they hold – it doesn’t box you in or put you in a certain category. It’s like getting a PhD in YOU, and who doesn’t want to know more about themselves, right?
